The Chinese community have, during the past year, been remarkably quiet, probably having discovered that they would not enjoy immunity as formerly from the consequences of riots. The Teo Chew, Macao, and Hylam tribes, on Tuesday held their annual religious procession, which this year was a very long and showy one, and a great success. The Hokien tribe hold their triennial procession on Monday next, the 22nd, and this, from all accounts, will be a very grand affair, and well worth seeing.
